Esmeralda
How brave was Esmeralda at the festival of fools?
As she danced and whirled all were in awe of the amazing talent for entertainment. What makes her incredibly special is not her talent but her courage.

Esmeralda is an advocate for people.  Not just people like her, her Gypsy's but is a friend to all members of her community. She knows the baker by name, she observes all around her and is brave enough to step forward and free Quasimodo when he falls into a distressing, humiliating experience.
In the cathedral she prays "I ask for nothing, I can get by, I know so many less lucky than I"
Selfless and loving, Esmeralda is a friend to all in need and is triumphant in her quest for people's dignity.
Seeing everyone as worthy, capable and unique might not be a bad idea.
