Cheers for Mickey and Minnie...
Eyes only for each other.....the world could fall around them and they wouldn't have a clue...
'ain't love grand !
Is their long term realtionship built on communcation, trust, respect or maybe all three and more?
I once heard someone say that their 60 year marriage was successful because they 'never fell out of love at the same time'
Who knows... and does it even matter. Long term or short term maybe what matters is that they are happy and sharing that happiness...

The three good fairies....
Three stellar wishes...
What is so fantastic is that they made the best of their situation...
Flora and Fauna had bestowed their wishes on baby Aurora before Maleficent appeared casting her dark spell over the baby.
Quick thinking Merryweather was able to contribute light to dark times. .
Flora (red) grants her the gift of beauty, while Fauna (green) grants her the gift of song. But before Merryweather (blue) can give her gift, Maleficent appears. Insulted by not being included in the celebration, Maleficent curses the infant to die, from pricking her finger on a spinning wheel spindle before the sun sets on the princess' 16th birthday.
As Maleficent leaves, the fairies realize that Merryweather still hasn't given her gift.
Though, Merryweather cannot reverse the curse, she does weaken it, so that Aurora will only fall asleep until awaken by True Love's Kiss.

Wondering although Maleficent has not been a friend to anyone- would things have been different if she had of been invited to the party?
Its easy to be kind to those you already like......just like its easy to share a loaf of bread if you have already eaten...like when you dont want to and share while you are hungry.  Magic doesn't make the world a loving place...caring does.
And as the story unfolds... the best thing tht the fairies could do to help Aurora was to put their magic away...

Little known facts - In Perrault's version there are 7 good fairies plus the one bad one. They don't have names.
There is an adaptation for the stage in which there are twelve fairies. Their names are Caper, Chicory, Caraway, Clove, Cinnamon, Ginger, Sesame, Saffron, Poppy, Pumpkin, Paprika, and Nutmeg.

While it was the prince of the castle who incurred the lessons he was to learn under the spell cast over him, all surrounding him were also affected.

How must it be for Mrs Potts raising her son trapped in circumstances beyond her control. Her solution - seems she made the best of it, loving and kindly continuing to carry out her duties cheerfully and seeing the best in each situation she continued in hope of better times.

The cheerful attitude of her son 'chip' an example of her positivity.
maybe there is no excuse for not being loving...

Ariel returns home to her 'merworld' to share the birth of her beautiful baby girl with her family.  Talk increases and momentum gains as word ripples through the ocean of her impending visit.

Excitement is at fever pitch as she arrives, her family, sisters, her dad, friends and sea creatures come to see her.
Why?
Why are they eager to re connect with Ariel and share her joy - because she was a loving friend.
Everyone remembers who she is, it is not about what she is - the love reflected to her is from her past actions.
Ariel brings to life this saying -

"People may not remember exactly what you did, or what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel. Remember what you do echoes in eternity."

'Never a tear, baby of mine
If they knew sweet little you
They'd end up loving you too'

Being Loved....

Being loved unconditionally is such a gift. Having someone see in you worthiness, uniqueness and significance builds a loving trust, a holding for believing in ones self and a chance to venture out and explore the worlds within and without confidently.
Find worthiness within. For while it is a gift if it comes from another.... it is a given that you deserve to realise you are all that you imagine worthy, significant and unique and more.

 Tink and her friends...

While it is empowering to believe we can do anything we set our mind to...it is also appropriate to give credit where credit is due.  We have our talents that have chosen us and so do our friends. Just how Tink experienced, try as we might sometimes we just don't have the qualities or finesse to do what others do so effortlessly.  The funniest part is that although they are doing what they do so well...sometimes they don't know they are fabulous.
Reminders of appreciation are so easy to gift... If you are in awe, if you appreciate, most of all if you notice the shining light from others as they do whatever it is that they do,reflect it back...(they might not know...)

Mickey and Minnie
                          the cutest couple.....
alike in so many ways, always finding ways to be loving toward each other and laughing together.
It is obvious they enjoy each others company and their cozy simple life is satisfying.  They are not needing of approval from anyone, they have no reason to question what is natural and meant to be. Their companionship is effortless.  They are a gift to each other, even as the rain falls they walk and talk. Their sunny disposition cannot be dampened.
Making sense of the saying - some walk in the rain - and some just get wet!

Lyrics....
'You got to dig a little deeper
Find out who you are
You got to dig a little deeper
It really ain’t that far

When you find out who you are
You’ll find out what you need
Blue skies and sunshine guaranteed'

What an amazing realisation, what you think you want might not be what you need.
Well, haven't we all heard that before, people reminding us to be careful what you wish for, sometimes we don't want to  believe it.  We 'know' better.
But  for princess Tiana and Nadeem- the journey they were set on was spot on in helping reveal to each of them what it is they really 'needed and wanted'. The hidden needs they had completed the 'wants' they were seeking.

Tiana 'wanted' her own restaurant. However deep inside she overlooked the love her family had instilled in her, with her eyes firmly on her goal she worked hard to get there. It took a twist of fate to realise that her dream would be empty without what she 'needed' - LOVE and family!

Sometimes what we think we want will never be complete without what we need.

Princess Tiana... with Mum and Dad,
Tiana learns some valuable lessons as a child, loved and appreciated, supported and encouraged by her family Tiana dreams big together with her dad for their restaurant. A natural flair for cooking and a home truth about food bringing people together underpin her dream.  She suggests wishing on a star to dad as a hope of bringing their dream closer.... wisely her father reminds her.  'A wish can only take you so far, it's hard work that carries you the rest of the way.'

It reminds me of a story I once heard of a faithful parishoner is forever praying please god, please let me win lotto..... God speaks to him and says 'can you help me out...and at least buy a ticket!'
Wish big, but wish well.... empty wishes are not wishes at all.

Ella
A short sighted blessing is bestowed apon Ella..the gift of 'obedience'
A blessing that is somewhat a curse.  For as Ella is pulled and pushed from one to another fulfilling all asked of her no matter how ridiculous, it becomes apparent that selflessness can go too far.
While compliance is important and crucial in some matters, (and from a parenting point of view may even be seen as a gift), free will is essential in expressing ones gifts.
Maybe times we overlook our gift of free will, but we have it.  If we get caught up in the blame game we are only overlooking our free will gift.

Clopin...
Is Clopin a wise storyteller.....after all he entertains the public with his puppet show retelling events that unearths truths?  Is he an advocate for the underdog, as he tells the crowd to remain calm after Quasimodo is crowned king of fools and they realise he is not wearing a mask? But, then again... he is ready to hang Quasimodo and Febus after they discover the location of the court of miracles.
Who really can say, who Clopin is? Maybe he himself could not answer.  Like many people he is many things on many days.
On a different day we could make different decisions with the same information.
So rather than think we know a person, rather than judge a person believing we have gathered enough evidence to justify our thoughts... maybe we should just love them for who they are. For we can never know a persons heart, nor is it our business to.
Pinocchio
discovered that to everyone else a lie is as plain as the nose on his face!
That's the truth of it events and strange things always happen that bring to light the real story. So sometimes it is not even the telling of what is untrue that is the lie...it might be keeping back something or misleading comments that make you look foolish and untrustworthy.
The pinocchio moral of the story is so important...not for everyone else because they decide what to believe or let slide, it is what happens to the person who fibs! It is what sits inside, heavy and dark and is ultimately ugly and makes you feel bad. Then attracts misfortune.
It is what eventually makes you undesirable for all to see.
A bad truth is always more palatable than a good lie.

A type of love...
What is a perfect match... is it seeing ourselves in another, then being in sinc in thoughts and actions. Sharing and belonging what resides in ourselves, that what we cannot see until anothers loving, actions create opportunity to reveal who we are to ourselves, we then can share it with the world.  It is amazing when  loving eyes see in us and affirm the deepest wishes and attributes held dear.

It is a priceless gift to find everything you love and cherish in another....

Very simple...
Lilo grasps something many grapple with "'Ohana means family. Family means no one is left behind - or forgotten."

I never before realised family could mean so much.
